Donations

The support of individuals, whether in the form of financial or physical contributions, assists us to maintain, preserve, display and operate the Trams.

In 2002, the Volunteers and Staff at Bendigo Tramways established what has become known as the ’Paint Fund’, to raise funds to refurbish Trams that were in storage to return them to active service or make them suitable for display.

Bendigo Tramways, as a division of The Bendigo Trust ABN 39 005 014 175, is a registered Charitable Institution and a Deductible Gift Recipient (Ref No. 900232823), with donations of $2.00 or greater being tax-deductible. Details of our tax-deductibility status can be confirmed by entering our ABN at www.abr.business.gov.au

Donations to the Bendigo Tramways Paint Fund and to The Bendigo Trust can either be made in person at the Tram Depot, or by mail to:

Cheques or Money Orders should be made out to Bendigo Tramways or The Bendigo Trust Museum Fund. All donations will be acknowledged in writing and will include a receipt.

If you wish your donation to be attributed to a specific project or tram, please advise this in writing so that we can allocate the funding accordingly.

Bendigo Tramways also accepts donations of artifacts, pictures, and tramway memorabilia, primarily relating to the Bendigo Tramway system, but encompassing other tramways also. Should you wish to donate these items, please contact the Tramways Manager at the address above or by phone on 03 5442 2821 to arrange for a Donation of Items form to be sent to you which details the terms of and conditions of donations.
